Woo, I'm getting so good!!!

I really need to find a new hobby(obsession?) but for now, this works!!! And I'm getting really good at it!!

Also, I thought it would be hard to draw with a laptop mouse pad but it's rather easy once you get the hang of it!

Apartment Shopping

I am trying to think of things that I will need (a year from now) when I move into my own apartment. I figure I need to start now so that I can see if things are on sale/clearance/GoodWill, i can grab them and cross them off my list. I have things as small as tupperware containers, plastic wrap, a can opener, etc. to things as big as a bed, a vacuum, etc.

When you moved out of your parents house for the first time, what was it that you realized you had relied on your parents for and forgotten was important?

I would love advice for my move (again, next January).

Things I remember being cool in the 90's!

My cousin Sarah talked about this in her blog, See You Be You, so along with the things she said she remembers being cool in the 90's (beaded hair after a vacation, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill CD), I remember ....

The world's richest children?

I did not have sexual relations with that woman

You were a cool kid if you had one of these to listen to your cassette tapes on!

Do I even need to say more?

Hanson! =D

those foam platform shoes

Spice Girls/World

I don't remember these ever being okay but I certainly know they were more acceptable in the 90's.

Doing your hair with one of those topsy tail things

What do you remember from the 90's? Cute post, Sarah! =)

Facebook Graffiti Fun

Today I had some fun with Facebook's Graffiti Application, shown to me by my friend Cody. Here are some things that I drew for him. What's especially cool is that you can watch how I did it! You can adjust the speed to see the details. I prefer watching them quicker but you can see more details if you watch it slower. You can also see the different brush sizes that were used to color in certain things.

I worked really hard on this one and I think it's much more appreciated on a slower speed =)

These are some things that Cody has drawn in the past! His process is really cool, and I love watching it.

This one is one of my favorites:

This is one that Cody's friend Eric drew for him that made me laugh.

How could I forget?! My friend Belle drew these for me a long time ago! She is AMAZING! to say the least.

and some people go way out on these. Recently these were submitted to the Graffiti public forum. I did not draw this nor do I know who did. It came from a public forum, submitted by the artist. This, I think, is completely fascinating. However, these are so intricate that you will want to watch them at full speed!

BioShock2? Borderlands still wins!

Last night, Dustin brought Raynor BioShock2 because Raynor purchased a whole gift set that included a hard back book with the games artwork, a CD with the soundtrack, an LP with the score on it, 3 posters, a cool box, etc. So needless to say the boys were really excited about it. So while they played I took some notes. The artwork is indeed very beautiful. Probably too beautiful, put there to distract from the main objection. As Raynor was "oohing" and "aahhing" at beautiful coral and oceanic views, "Big Sister" attacked by surprise and he almost died. These young girls are given Submarine men with giant drills as their "Daddies" who are meant to protect them.

However, for some reason Sofia Lamb aka "Lamb" (left) does not like that. Numerous times throughout the game she comes over the intercoms saying that she will find you and kill you. I'm sure it would help if I 1.) knew the background story or 2.) saw them play the first BioShock.

She has to tell these men that they are not the girls' fathers and tries to kill them or makes them kill themselves, no matter how much they want to protect their daughters.

I admit, I fell asleep. It lacked adventure. Aside from a few attacks here
and there, it's mostly wandering around.

However, like I said, the artwork is beautiful....

Borderlands I like a lot more because it is wide open and a lot simpler for me to understand. It is a first person shooter role play game. (role-playing shooter). You can chose to play as a soldier, a hunter (which is my character), a siren (a woman who can become invisible on command) or Brick (I'm not sure exactly what his character does). Also, the artwork is very unique, very comic book.

What I like about being the Hunter is I get a trusty pal - a Bloodwing (above left)! When running through Pandora, a desert area that is being taken over by Bandits and Skags (Skagzilla is pictured above. He is a scary mofo fo sho!), I can throw my bloodwing out and he will do a lot of fighting with me! As he gets stronger, he is able to kill more enemies and collect rewards from them as well, such as money. The game itself can get pretty intense, as you are constantly bombarded by enemies (notto the same extent as Call of Duty, thank God). Also, there are 15 million weapons in Borderlands, making every weapon you find unique.

So personally, there is no comparison. Borderlands has stolen my heart!

First Post - Murder Mystery Party!

Saturday was a Murder Mystery Party at Elyse's house (the lovely dame below). Elyse is Raynor's sister. We had a great time! Elyse (aka "Silky") turned out to be the one who killed Cappone *gasp*! That picture of Chris makes me laugh every time i see it!
Everyone was given a short description of themselves before the party so that we knew how to dress accordingly. However, all the details about our own personal backgrounds/history and clues to solving the murder were given to us there.

And this is the first picture Raynor and I have together! =) I love it.

From left to right: Taylor (Torchy), Billy (Billy), Raynor (Harrow), Ariel (Scoop), Elyse (Silky), Chris (Eddie), Margo (Molly), Dustin (Earnie).

It was a great time and I can't wait to spend some more time with these fantastic people!
